MAKE SPORTSMANSHIP YOUR PLEDGE TO
SUCCESS
PHILISOPHY STATEMENT
We will make our game fun for our players, not a
glory for ourselves. We will, by our actions and attitudes, practice true
sportsmanship, remembering that, by example, we are teaching the young players
to win with humility and lose gracefully. We will strive to teach the
skills of the game with patience and understanding. We will praise when
deserved and encourage, not condemn, when a mistake is made. We will
remember that the feelings and welfare of our players are far more important
than the outcome of any game.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Davenport Associated Dads' Club mission is to
develop and deliver quality youth sports programs through the involvement of
local schools and volunteers dedicated to building character through
participation in a fun, family environment based on the Dads' Club
philisophy.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Dads' Club is a volunteer
organization. Without volunteers, we cannot provide the best
program possible for your child. Where can you help? School
coordinating, league coordinating and coaching. School coordinators are
responsible for distributing the forms at their schools, forming the teams,
getting volunteer coaches and turning in the registration forms/monies to the
Dads' Club office. League coordinators take a division, i.e. 1st grade,
2/3 coed, etc. and ensure that all forms are completed and signed and that
registrants have been placed where their form has indicated. League
coordinators also help with handing out sportsmanship awards and help at the
school coordinator turn-in. What more rewarding opportunity can you have
than coaching a group of youngsters. Coaches have such an impact on these
young lives. Please, won't you take some time out of your busy schedule to
help.....Have an impact! MAKE A
DIFFERENCE....
